Run your business your way.
Quota is the business software we're building for small service businesses: the jobs, the calendar, the customers, the quotes and the invoices, in one place that bends to how you already work instead of the other way round.

Most small businesses run on five things that don't talk to each other
A diary for the bookings. A spreadsheet for the jobs. A notebook in the van. An accounting package for the invoices. A phone full of messages nobody else can see. Every one of them works fine on its own, and the gaps between them are where the money quietly leaks out.
The same job gets written down four times, in four places, by three people. Something always gets missed, and it's usually the part that was going to be invoiced.
Buy software built for someone else's trade, then spend six months bending your business to fit its idea of what a job looks like. Or give up and go back to the whiteboard.
You describe your work once, in your own words, and the software builds itself around that. One record per job, from the first phone call to the paid invoice, and everyone looking at the same one.
Your business, not a template
Most software decides for you what a piece of work is called and what goes on it. Quota doesn't. You define the record types you actually track, whether that's jobs, appointments, properties, inspections or something nobody else has a name for. Each one gets its own fields, its own workflow and its own views.
- Add a field and it shows up on the form immediately, no developer involved
- Statuses you name yourself, with rules about which moves are allowed
- Table, board and calendar views built off the same records
- Starter templates for trades, barbers and salons, cleaning and professional services

Nothing falls off the whiteboard
Every piece of work sits on a board from first enquiry through to paid. Drag a card to move it along. The moves that make no sense are blocked, so a job cannot quietly skip from "quote sent" to "paid" without anyone noticing it never got done.
- One board per record type, with the columns you named
- Invalid status jumps are refused on the server, not just hidden in the interface
- Every change is logged against the job with who did it and when
- Search across customers, jobs and parts from anywhere with one keystroke

Who's doing what, and when
One calendar across everything that has a date on it. Filter to one person or look at the whole team, switch between day, week and month, and click an empty slot to book straight into it.
- Day, week and month views over every scheduled record type
- Filter by team member, or see the lot at once
- Click an empty slot to create the booking there and then
- Workload per person on the dashboard, so nobody quietly ends up with everything

A login for the people you work for
Customers get their own sign-in showing their upcoming visits, the quotes waiting on them, and what they owe. They can approve or decline a quote, look at an invoice, and ask to move an appointment. It takes a solid chunk of the "just checking where things are at" phone calls off your day.
- Quote approval and decline, recorded properly against the job
- Invoice balances and payment history in one place
- Reschedule and cancel requests land as a task for your team
- Off by default, and each customer only ever sees their own records

A booking page anyone can use
Pick a service, pick a person, pick a time, done. No account, no app, no waiting for someone to answer the phone. Availability is worked out from the real calendar and checked again when the booking is submitted, so a stale browser tab left open for an hour cannot double-book you.
- Branded with your logo and colour, on your own booking link
- Slots sized to the real length of each service, with a buffer you set
- "Any available" bookings get pinned to a free team member automatically
- Bookings arrive as normal records, so your usual workflow and automations still fire

The rest of the day job
The parts nobody puts on a poster, which are usually the parts that decide whether software actually gets used.
Quotes and invoices
Build a quote, get it approved, turn it into an invoice, all attached to the same job. Money is handled in whole cents from end to end, so totals never drift by a cent.
Tasks and comments
Assign follow-ups with due dates, leave notes on a record, and see overdue work surfaced on the dashboard instead of buried.
Automations
When a job is completed, create the invoicing task. When an enquiry comes in, notify the right person. Built from triggers and conditions you set, with a log of every run.
Inventory and parts
Track what you hold, what it costs and what goes onto a job, so parts stop getting fitted and then forgotten at invoicing time.
Public intake forms
A shareable form that creates a real record in your workspace and tells your team about it, instead of another email to copy and paste out of.
Roles and permissions
Five roles from owner down to read-only. Every action is checked on the server, so hiding a button is never the only thing standing between someone and your financials.
More than one business
Run several businesses from one login and switch between them. Each one is walled off, so nothing from one is ever visible in another.
Built to connect to later
A read-and-write API sits behind the same permission checks the app uses, so a phone app or an integration can be added without a second set of rules to keep in sync.
Service businesses that run on jobs and appointments
Each of these starts from a template with sensible record types and statuses already set up, then you change whatever doesn't match how you work.
Trades
Plumbers, electricians, builders and anyone running jobs against properties and equipment.
Barbers and salons

What's done and what isn't
Quota is a pre-launch product. Here's exactly where it stands, so you can judge it on what it is today rather than what a feature list implies.
It runs, end to end
Everything shown on this page is working software, not a mockup. The screenshots above are the real thing, captured from the running app.
Payments are recorded, not processed
Marking an invoice paid writes it to the record. No card processor is connected yet, and no card details exist anywhere in it.
Nothing gets emailed or texted yet
Notifications live inside the app for now. Email and SMS sending is on the list before launch, not in it today.
It is not open for signups
There's no public sign-up page. If you want a look, ask below and we'll walk you through it on a call.
Want a proper look at it?
A few quick questions, then we'll get back to you within a business day. If a demo suits, we'll walk you through Quota on a call using your kind of work as the example.
