John Smith, holding a camera and looking pensively into the distance
Nice To Meet You

Hi, I'm John.

I picked up my first camera in 2011, purely by accident, after mistaking it for a toaster at a garage sale. Fourteen years, three broken tripods, and one mildly concerning incident involving a llama later, here we are.

I'm based out of a converted shipping container somewhere in the greater Wherever region, and I specialise in portraits, landscapes, and gently convincing people that eye contact with a lens isn't scary.

When I'm not shooting, I'm probably re-organising my sock drawer by focal length, or explaining to strangers why "the rule of thirds" is not, in fact, a legal statute.

My Philosophy
Every photo should look like it took no effort at all. The effort is my problem, not yours.
